Stuart Kerr

Stuart Kerr is an illustrator based in Glasgow, Scotland. His style is loosely technical with an eye for detail and a mix of subjects from nature to gritty urban realism.

He trained at the Glasgow School of Art and UIAH, Helsinki. He regularly undertakes illustration work in Japan where he lived for several years. His best known work is probably the Mackerel and botanicals on the Scottish Polymer bank notes.

Stuart is also the founder of Stuco Design, a design practice specialising on Heritage interpretation and Interior design.
